Built for the Bush, the travelling exhibition profiled in ReNew 110 is moving to Albury from February 12. The exhibition celebrates traditional rural building customs and shows how they have inspired contemporary sustainable housing. Settler practices of earth, timber and iron construction, water conservation and passive solar controls are now lauded for their energy efficiency.
These old ways are now informing a new generation of green architecture.
An exhibition produced by the Historic Houses Trust www.hht.net.au and from the NSW State Cultural Instituitions
Location : Albury Library Museum Cnr Kiewa & Swift Sts, Albury NSW
